Shamun Nabi Mausoleum

Eastern hill of Mizdakhan

Shamun Nabi stands near Jumart Kassap on the northern summit. Legend casts him as a giant magician and folk hero who fought an unbeliever from Gyaur Kala; the elongated grave inside exceeds twenty-five meters. The rectangular hall is covered by seven successive domes. The mazar is especially busy on Wednesdays — visitors come for healing, children, and blessing. Written notices of the shrine appear from the early 19th century.
