Nazlimkhan Suliw Monument

Eastern hill of Mizdakhan

Known locally as Nazlimkhan Suliw (Mazlumkhan-Sulu, “the afflicted beauty”), this 12th–14th century mausoleum sits partly below ground. A square hall with deep niches opens to a smaller chamber under an octagonal blue-glazed dome; carved terracotta and majolica “bows” still catch the light. Legend tells of a master builder who leapt from the unfinished dome for love — and of the princess who followed him. Pilgrims still call it “the girl’s house.”
